SIAMS
SIAMS in Action at Our School
At Idle Church of England Primary School, our Christian vision is not just words—it is lived out daily in the life of our school.
- Our curriculum is designed to inspire a love of learning, enabling every child to grow, achieve and flourish.
- Collective worship provides opportunities for reflection, prayer and spiritual development, bringing our community together.
- Our relationships are built on mutual respect, kindness and a shared commitment to our values of love, courage and joy.
- Our inclusive ethos ensures that every child is valued as an individual, with their dignity recognised and celebrated.
- Our approach to challenge encourages pupils to show resilience and courage, supporting one another as they learn and grow.
- Our links with the church and wider community strengthen our sense of belonging and service to others.
Through these daily experiences, we enable all members of our school community to flourish academically, spiritually and personally, living out our vision of growing together.
What is SIAMS?
The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS) evaluates how effectively a church school’s Christian vision shapes all areas of school life.
Rather than focusing purely on academic outcomes, SIAMS looks at how the school supports pupils and adults to flourish, including:
- The impact of the school’s Christian vision and values
- The quality of collective worship
- The effectiveness of Religious Education (RE)
- How well the school promotes inclusion, dignity and respect for all
- The wellbeing and personal development of pupils and staff
SIAMS celebrates and challenges church schools to live out their foundation, ensuring that their vision is meaningful and has a positive impact on the whole school community.
SIAMS Inspection
Idle Church of England Primary School was successfully inspected under the SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) framework in January 2019.
The inspection highlighted how our Christian vision underpins all aspects of school life, shaping a nurturing environment where pupils and adults are encouraged to grow, flourish and live out our values of love, courage and joy.
